What we’ve been up to
The new Business plan relating to 2014-2018 has initiated the move toward the new 3 step programme. This new 3 step programme will provide a holistic approach to guide our service users on their individual road to recovery. This tiered approach will be carried out at both Bassetlaw Mind and also out in the community, depending on the individuals level of recovery.
This new scheme will be launched September 2015, on the run up to the launch, we will be hosting coffee meetings for our service users and volunteers to attend to ensure that everybody still feels involved and a part of Mind whilst this is being introduced. All Mind members will be kept up to date and involved with any progressions made, regularly holding our advisory group meeting to pass on information and receive feedback and opinions.
“An Internet of Soft Things”
Bassetlaw Mind have recently been working in partnership with Nottingham Trent University to deliver a project which brings together design, textiles and computer science with the aim of contributing to an individuals sense of well being, portraying their feelings and emotions through their creations.
The course was very sucessful and a regular group came to Bassetlaw to take part and gave very positive feedback from those involved. Many pieces of work were created using mixed media.
